Well what can I say, I'm a fan, ok you got me I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
The food is excellent, the service is quick and you can watch your food being cooked :-)
My brother in law is a bit of a Indian food connoisseur and he loves it too,
whenever he's in town this is his take away of choice.
I would recommend phoning your order in advance though as it can get busy (a victim of their own success I suppose)
If your in town and fancy a nice n spicy take away I would highly recommend.
Bonne appetite :-) -

Travelled 158 miles from Glasgow to find proper Onion Bhaji and Keema Naan, excellent!£11 for Mix kebab starter ( 1 Samosa,1 Onion Bhaji, 1 shami Kebab),Chicken Tikka Madras,Keema Naan and rice ,fantastic meal.None of this weird onion rings Bhaji you get in Scotland and ground up dry mince lamb in the naan, this was good.Thank you British Raj.

Just had the most delicious take away I've had in a long time. Food was excellent, service was efficient and very friendly. What more can a body ask for?

When we travelled through the UK we had a lot of Indian take-always. Some very good and some not that good. But this one is just so much better than any we had.
The dishes are very delicious. You can choose between hot, medium-hit, mild, etc dishes, so everyone finds a dish which is perfect for him/ her.
I do really like the chicken chat puri (starter). But there are many other Dishes which are so good. Another one I like us cooked with mango, another with lots of tomato. The meals don't cost too much. We paid for a starter, a main course and a naar bout 10£. So when you're in Kendal, and you don't know what to eat take a look at British Raj. -

Got a takeaway tonight and was dissapointed, i love indian food but this meal didnt live up to expectations. Tandoori chicken was dry and the onion with it was raw, prawn byriani was ok, but no depth of flavour, the veg curry that comes with it was basically, potato and onion, found a few peas n a green bean the sauce was thick and heavy, very tomato-ey, cauli bahgi had alot of the stalk in it and the sauce was the same as the veg curry! Didnt enjoy it im afraid!
